New Orleans Breakfront Cabinet. French Empire motif. A piece of this size would fit very well in the Georgian plantation with high ceilings and sizable rooms. Came from Winthrop Sargent's home, "Gloucester", in Natchez MS.

Subject

During the Revolution, Reverend Murray was appointed as a chaplain of the Rhode Island Brigade by George Washington. During the war, Murray retired from this position and returned to Gloucester due to poor health.
